Ratan Tata has not made any statements regarding the recruitment of JNU statements.
One of the country's most reputed universities, Jawaharlal Nehru University has often become a point of contention recently when students from the university took to the streets in late 2019 to protest against what they claim was an unfair fee hike. The university has also been a center for student protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Recently, a post is doing rounds on social media claiming that Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Trusts and is chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, has made a statement that the Tata group of companies will stop recruiting from JNU.
The post with "Big announcement by Rata Tata Sahab: "From now on Tata Group of companies not to recruit any of the JNU #Students. Those who can't be faithful to the country, how can we expect them to be faithful to the company" written on it, is being widely circulated on WhatsApp.
A user named Srinivas M N also shared this post on Twitter with a caption, "This is what you call guts. All other bigwigs have to follow now along with the quieter Bollywood and sports personalities. Hats off to Ratan Tata Ji."
However, the claim that Ratan Tata has not made any such statements. Tata groups through this official twitter account clarified that "Mr. Tata has not issued any such statement."
In conclusion, Ratan Tata has not made any statements regarding the recruitment of JNU statements.
