Summary

The claim made by US President Donald Trump is false that he is Number 1 on Facebook and Number 2 is Prime Minister Modi. We found that The most liked page on Facebook is of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

US President Donald Trump will make his first official visit to India on 24 February to visit Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Recently on 15 February Donald Trump posted a tweet in his official tweeter account, in which he claimed that he was number 1 in terms of followers on Facebook and PM Narendra Modi was second.

In his tweet, Trump quoted Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg for making this claim "Great honor, I think? Mark Zuckerberg recently stated that “Donald J. Trump is Number 1 on Facebook. Number 2 is Prime Minister Modi of India.” Actually, I am going to India in two weeks. Looking forward to it!"

In the investigation, we found that Donald Trump's page has not received the most likes on Facebook. PM Modi has almost twice more likes on the page than Trump. The most liked page on Facebook is of football player Cristiano Ronaldo.

We saw that Donald Trump's official page has been liked by 2 crores 59 lakh 73 thousand 17 people. At the same time, 4 crores 46 lakh 25 thousand 85 people have liked the official page of PM Modi. (Both page figures are at the time of writing this article)

We Checked data available on social media tracking portal Socialbakers.com and found that the most liked Facebook page is neither of Trump nor PM Modi but Football player Cristiano Ronaldo's.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Facebook page has been liked by 12 crore 24 lakh 8 thousand 594 people, which is the highest. After this, in the case of likes, the second and third number are the Facebook pages of Football clubs Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.

Apart from this, we could not find any such statement of Mark Zuckerberg in which he has made a statement that Trump got more likes on Facebook page than PM Modi.

In conclusion, we found that US President Donald Trump's claim that he is number one and PM Modi number two in terms of maximum number of likes on Facebook is completely false. The most liked page on Facebook is of Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
