In our investigation, we found out that the claim with the video that people in Assam are being evicted from their homes after implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam is false. The video is an old one during the time of an anti-encroachment drive in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
In the wake of demonstrations against the CAA and NRC, a video is being widely shared with a claim that as NRC started in Assam, people are being evicted from their homes.
A Facebook user named Ali Sreekandapuram shared the video along with a caption, "NRC started in Assam. They have begun evicting people from their homes. The media doesn't show it, they are being sold so it is our responsibility now to share this video."
The video is going viral on Facebook with similar claims.

In the 22-sec-long video, Police can be seen dragging a group of people including women.
In our investigation, we found this claim to be completely false.
On closely analyzing the video, it was revealed that the emblem on the uniform of the cops is of Rajasthan police.
On further searching with the relevant keywords, we found the same video to be posted by a Twitter page named 'Bharat Prabhat Party.'
The caption along with the video tweeted on August 7th, 2019, reads, "People are screaming Modi Modi because of Article 370 and in the entire nation, homes of Dalits, the poor and tribals are being demolished and their land is being seized. This video is from Samariya road, Kanota in Jaipur. Police is demolishing houses using JCB machines. These policemen should be immediately fired,” reads the tweet." (Translated from Hindi)
Zee News also reported the incident on August 2, 2019, according to which, an officer of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), identified as Rajeev Yaduvanshi, publicly thrashed a woman.
