On 2 March Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath campaigned for BJP in the poll-bound West Bengal.

Amid this, a video is being shared on social media showing some men distributing money to people with a claim that it shows BJP workers distributing money to bring the crowd for Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal

A Facebook user name Arun Yadav share a video with a claim "BJP workers distributed money late at night to gather crowds at CM Yogi's rally in West Bengal."

Fact Check

our investigation, we found this claim to be false. The viral video  shared on the internet since October 2019 and is not from Yogi Adityanath's recent election rally in West Bengal

After doing reverse image research on google using a related keyframe we found the same video was uploaded on 17 October 2019 by a YouTube channel name Newswing. The description of the video reads "#Dhanbad: Two hundred rupees distributed to mobilize CM Raghubar Das gathering, video goes viral."

We found that in the video, 'Abki Baar 65 Paar' written in Hindi on the t-shirts of the people. #AbkiBaar65Paar was a slogan that was the BJP’s tagline during the 2019 Jharkhand elections.

We also found a news report of Newswing published on 17 October 2019, according to which Some people had informed their team that they have been given two hundred rupees to participate in this rally

However, we cannot independently verify whether cash was handed out at the rally or not.

In conclusion, a video shows some men distributing money to the people is being widely shared with a false claim that BJP workers distributing money to bring the crowd for Yogi Adityanath’s rally in West Bengal. The viral video is of 2019 from Jharkhand, Dhanbad. It has nothing to do with Yogi Adityanath's West Bengal rally.
