An unrelated video showing a religious event organized by Morari Bapu at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi in 2016 is being shared with a false claim that it shows visuals of the BAPS temple, the first Hindu temple which is being built in Abu Dhabi. As per reports, the BAPS temple is expected to be completed in 2023.
A 14-second clip of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is getting viral on social media. In the video, Kejriwal can be heard saying, "People of Gujarat, if you protest against me then I will crush you, and you can do whatever you want."
Surat-based MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party Harsh Sanghavi tweeted a video with a claim that "Why Kejriwal hates Gujarat."(Translated from Hindi)
The same video is also getting viral on Facebook with the same claim
In our Investigation, we found that the viral video is cropped from a speech of Arvind Kejriwal from 2016 in Surat, Gujarat where he was referring to Home Minister Amit Shah.
After doing a keyword search on Google, we found the entire portion of the viral video on the Aam Aadmi Party's YouTube channel. Arvind Kejriwal gave this speech in Surat, Gujarat in October 2016.
The viral clip can be seen in this video after 14 minutes 54 seconds. After listening to the full video, it is cleared that Kejriwal is talking about Amit Shah. Kejriwal says, "Today we know who is going to run Gujarat. Amit Shah is running Gujarat. Amit Shah has been running Gujarat for the last few years. At the time of Anandiben Patel, they had a difference of opinion on certain issues. So, Vijay Rupani was introduced. Now Vijay Rupani does what Amit Shah says."Amit Shah has a warning for Gujarat, Amit Shah has a challenge for Gujarat that I will run Gujarat as I wish, "People of Gujarat if you protest against me then I will crush you, and, you can do whatever you want."
The Aam Aadmi Party Gujarat official Tweeter handle also quote tweeted Harsh Sanghavi's tweet calling it fake.
In conclusion, the viral claim is false that Arvind Kejriwal is threatening in a speech saying that if Gujaratis oppose him, he will crush them. We found that the viral clip has been cropped from a speech of Arvind Kejriwal from October 2016 in Surat, Gujarat where he was referring to Home Minister Amit Shah.
