Our Investigation

The common factor among all the post is that the spelling of BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar is wrong. It is being written as Rajiv Chandrasheher. We used the invid browser extension to extract the key frames of the video and did a reverse image search.

We found the video on the website of Times of India. As per the report, Rs 13.56 crore was seized from a Delhi law firm in Dec 2016. Rs 2.6 crore were in new notes and rest in old demonetized notes.

We also found that the same video was uploaded on Twitter on Dec 10, 2016 by a journalist Shiv Sunny. According to him, the video is of a raid conducted by Delhi Police at T&T law firm in Greater Kailash.

The viral video is of a raid conducted by Delhi Police at T&T law firm in Greater Kailash. It has no connection with BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar. There is no media report about any raid being conducted at the office or residence of Mr. Chadrashekhar.

Hence, the claim is false.
