A message is going viral on social media with the claim that Goa’s Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar penned an emotional message while he was bedridden.
The headline on the purported letter, fashioned as a news clipping reads "Manohar Parrikar's inspiring words". The letter also claims that this message was penned down when he was under treatment for pancreatitis in US hospital. Here is the image:
The message says that material wealth and social success are devoid of any true meaning, and what truly matters is spending time with the people one loves. In the message, the writer says that “abundant political respect” has become synonymous with Parrikar’s name, but at the cost of other forms of enjoyment.
At this critical moment, I have understood there is so much more to life than accumulation wealth and fame…
A Twitter user Sunil Baitmangalkar shared the image with a message "Frustrated joker's @INCIndia and @INCGoa , please read this. It was a message from Shri Manohar Parrikar Ji from the hospital bed. #VampireCongress"
Another user tweeted the image with "get well soon" wishes for the former Goa CM.

The same screenshot was viral last year as well. The official Twitter handle of CMO Goa had clarified on 25th March 2018 that the message floating on social media with the attribution of Goa CM is not authentic. All the messages of CM Manohar Parrikar will be communicated directly by him or his verified handle.
We Scrolled through the profile of Goa CM but couldn't find the viral image on his timeline.
Manohar Parrikar’s ‘message from his hospital bed’ in the US is fake.
