A 15-second video has emerged on Facebook showing a military operation claiming that the video shows the Indian Army.
A Facebook user named Irfan Kathat shared the video with the caption, "[ARMY Lovers] I love Indian army."
This video has been reshared over 1300 times.
The small video clips show an Army Convoy.
With the help of reverse image search using the keyframes of the video, we found similar visuals in a video posted by a YouTube channel named ‘specijalne-jedinice’ on ‘26 July 2017’. ‘specijalne-jedinice.com’ website promotes Serbian and other elite military force operations.
As per the description of the video, the video shows a joint tactical military exercise called ‘Shield 2015’, conducted by the Serbian Special Force. Sharing the same visuals, ‘specijalne-jedinice’ published an article on their website.
On further investigation, we found an article published about this joint military exercise on the official website of the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Serbia. According to the article, a joint demonstration exercise titled ‘Shield 2015’ was conducted successfully by the Serbian special armed forces.
In conclusion, an old video of a military exercise conducted by the Serbian special force is being falsely linked the Indian Army.
