Recently, Bollywood Actress Shabana Azmi shared an image on Twitter in which two kids can be seen holding each other while sitting on roads. 

At the time of writing this article, this tweet has been reshared over 2000 times. 

Following Azmi's tweet, an article was published on the News18 website in Bengali which suggested that "Shabana Azmi is upset to see the plight of migrant workers and shared pictures of two helpless migrant children on social media.

Our Investigation

With the help of a reverse image search, we found that this is image is at least a year old.

This image was used in a report on a Malaysian website 10 months ago. According to this article, this image was widely shared in the country claiming that it's from Malaysia. However, according to this article, the image is from Thailand. 

Fact

In conclusion, actress Shabana Azmi shared an old picture of two kids from Thailand amid the coronavirus crisis in India.
