Recently, an image of some children wearing skull caps distributing water on a railway station to passengers traveling in trains is going viral on social media.
A shared this image claiming that children from local Madarsa provided water to migrant workers traveling in trains. This tweet received more than 1600 retweets.
The same image was shared by Twitter user Ali Sohrab.
The same picture was used in a recent Tik Tok video that received more than 10,000 likes.
In our investigation, we found that this is an old picture and is not related to the current situation in India. With the help of a reverse image search, we found that the image was shared by a Facebook user on April 6, 2017.
However, we were not able to identify the context of the image.
Moreover, we also did not find any other report claiming that children from Madarsa were distributing water on Railway station. Also, only passengers with confirmed e-tickets are allowed to enter any railway station.
In conclusion, an old image of children distributing water on a railway station is being shared as a recent one.
