A video is being shared on social media connecting it to the ongoing protest against CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) showing an image of some women locked behind the bars with an audio clip which narrates "That day has come, you will be Shocked by watching this video, we have to share this video widely. Narendra Modi says to save the daughter and educate, but there is an injustice being done to them, no one came to help. If you are my brother, then you will definitely share this video. Do not delete it.

A tweeter user name Retweet Sarkar TM shared the video with a caption "Plz save these ladies. What the hell have done Modi. Rt".

The video received 479 likes,464 Retweets and 5,388 views at the time of writing this article. The video was shared by another user @Me_nehru.

Our Investigation

After doing a reverse image search on Yandex, we found that the image shared in the video is an old one from 2015. The video was shared on a Youtube channel named Rohingya Vision on April 7, 2015.

You can see the relevant part from 4:33 minutes onward.

We also found an article published by Islah Haber in which has used the same picture. According to the article, hundreds of people kidnapped from the Rohingya refugee camp in Thailand were announced to be sold by some to organ mafia. According to human rights activists, Rohingya Muslims, who escaped from the pressure of the Buddhist gangs and the Arakan government in the region, took refuge in Taylan.
The prisoners were arbitrarily arrested and thrown into the prison by the Thai police.

The viral image shows the Rohingya Muslims, who fled to Thailand to escape the persecution of Myanmar's Arkan or Rakhine state and the picture has nothing to do with protests related to CAA.
