A picture of a man tied to a wooden frame and being flogged by a policeman is going viral on social media show the atrocity on Muslims in India.
A Facebook page Rashedul Islam Rushdi shared the picture with a caption in Bengali which roughly translates to "Allah save us. Indian Muslims are facing torture and oppression. Allah, please save Muslims in India. Ameen."
The post has more than 16000 shares at the time of writing this article.

The picture has been viral on social media for quite some time. A similar post by another Facebook user has received more than 42000 shares.
Google image reverse search showed many articles related to Pakistan. According to tribune.com.pk, the picture is approx 40 years old. The picture depicts an anti-Zia journalist being flogged at Karachi’s Karki Stadium in 1979. According to the report, Masoodullah Khan, Nasir Zaidi, Khawar Naeem and Iqbal Jafferi were flogged on May 13, 1978 for protesting for the freedom of the press.
