A picture of a girl is going viral on social media with a claim that she was seen in Mangalore with Tamil beggars. The message further claims that she was found from a train coming from Mumbai and her name is Sonal Bipin Patel.
The picture is also going viral on Facebook and mostly in Tamil groups.
We did a reverse image search on Google and found the picture shared on Facebook. The comment section of the post gave us a hint that notes in her hand are actually Bangladeshi's currency.
We also found the picture on ajker-comilla.com. The article is based on a Facebook post by Asif Akbar which claims that the girl was kidnapped two years ago from Bagerhat Khan Jahan Ali Mazar at Khalsi village under Baghparpara police station in Jessore district.
When someone clicked her picture and shared it on social media, her uncle recognized her but when he went to take her, child was not found in the area. As per the post, the child's father's name is Mofibullah who worked in Chittagong.
Another report by WAB News24 has used the picture of the girl along with a girl who was kidnapped. According to the report, the girl's father is Abul Mia who is a beggar.
However, we don't have conclusive evidence to confirm her identity but it is clear that the girl is from Bangladesh.
The beggar girl in the viral picture is from Bangladesh. We couldn't confirm her identity but it is clear that the viral message claiming that she was spotted in Mangalore with a Tamil beggar is false.
