In another tweet, he mentioned that the school is DPS Rajbag.
With the help of the invid chrome extension, we extracted the keyframes and did a reverse image search. We found that the video is not from India but Egypt where an orphanage manager named Osama Mohammed Othman was secretly filmed, by his estranged wife, beating the children with a stick and kicking them as reported by State-run al-Ahram newspaper.
According to a 2014 BBC report, the court sentenced the head of a Cairo orphanage to three years in prison for assaulting seven children in his care and endangering their lives.
The sentence includes two years' hard labour. The third year was suspended pending the payment of $110 (£87) bail.
The victims - aged between four and seven - said Othman attacked them for not asking for permission to watch TV.
The viral video of a teacher beating kids which was shared by Tathagata Roy, Governor of Meghalaya is from Egypt and has no relation with DPS Rajbagh or any other Indian schools.
We had replied to Tathagat Roy on the same day to point out the truth about the video but he is yet to delete his tweet.
