A Facebook user named Aditya Chaturvedi posted on Facebook that PM Modi has hired a makeup artist for Rs 15 lakh per month. His post has more than 16000 shares.

He has shared his post in the Facebook group named Indian National Congress. 

His post has been widely shared in groups of Aam Aadmi Party and Indian National Congress.

Our Investigation

We did a reverse image search and found a report of NDTV which has used the same image. The caption of the image reads "PM Modi's statue will make its debut in a few weeks at Madame Tussauds wax museum".

We found a video on Youtube by Hindustan Times with the headline "PM Modi gets measured for the wax statue at Madame Tussauds". 

If we look at the higher resolution of the same picture, then on the kit it is written "Madame Tussauds" which gives enough evidence that the woman is not a make artist of PM Modi.

Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London with smaller museums in a number of other major cities which makes wax statues of popular personalities.

In April 2106 Madame Tussauds released a press statement to announce that prime minister Narendra Modi has joined world leaders at Madame Tussauds in London. You can read the statement here.

Fact

The photo is from 2016 when a team from the Madame Tussauds wax museum had visited Modi’s residence to collect measurements and other details for a wax replica they were building in their museum.

The woman in the photo is not applying make-up on Modi’s face but is holding up an eyeball while a study of Modi’s facial features was being done for the statue.
