Several users have asked us to verify the fax message from Karnataka Director General - Inspector General of Police (DG-IGP - Karnataka) to Director Generals (DGs) of Tami Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, Puducherry, Goa, Maharashtra to warn about terror attacks in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, Puducherry, Goa, Maharashtra. He wrote the message after getting a phone call by a man 'claiming to have info about the terror attacks.

We received the copy of the message on Whatsapp from a user asking us to verify. Another user tagged us on Twitter to verify it.
We found that the copy of the fax message was not fake as DG-IGP of Karnataka had indeed written the message after he got a phone call from an unknown person claiming to have information about terror attacks in different cities across the southern part of India.
The copy of the message was tweeted by ANI:
Karnataka DG-IGP writes to DGs of Tami Nadu, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, Puducherry, Goa, Maharashtra following a phone call by a man 'claiming to have info that cities in Tamil Nadu, K'taka, Kerala, Andhra, Telangana, Puducherry, Goa, Maharashtra will be hit by terror attacks'.
However, a few hours later ANI tweeted to clarify that it was just a hoax call by a retired army personnel who has been arrested now.
