The Motera Stadium is the second-largest stadium in the World. It came into existence after the Gujarat government donated 100 acres of land on the banks of the Sabarmati river in 1982. The reconstruction work at Sardar Patel Stadium started in 2016. The new Motera Stadium is spread across 63 acres and has many world-class facilities, including a clubhouse with 55 rooms, a gymnasium, and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has shared pictures of the stadium.
The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) stated that the ‘Namaste Trump’ event will not mark the inauguration of the complex and is only being organized for hosting U.S. President Donald Trump.
