Old video from Rajasthan getting viral showing atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan

Summary

The video of two women being brutally beaten is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The video is not related to Pakistan.

Social Activist and the founder of  ©Voice for India Renee Lynn shared a video on her Twitter account. In the video, two persons can be seen beating up a woman and forcibly taking away a girl on a tractor. The video is being shared with the claim that the video is from Pakistan where Muslims assaulting a Hindu woman and her Daughter. Using the caption "This video is horrifying what's happening in Pakistan today. These Muslims beat the hell out of this young Hindu girl & her mother & was forcefully taken away. Please, I beg of everyone opposing the please re-think, in 1951 there were 12.9% Hindus in Pakistan & now only 1.6%."

The viral video received  7,097 likes and 6,599 retweets at the time of writing this article. You can watch the video here:

Old video of 2017, from Rajasthan's Jodhpur

In the investigation, we found that the viral video is around two years old and is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The video is nowhere related to Pakistan.

We found this video to be uploaded on the website named Aparat.com. The caption and title of the video suggest that the video is about kidnapping a girl in front of the family in a village in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The video is made by a mobile phone camera by a relative of the girl. (Translated from Urdu to English)

Using relevant keywords on google we got a news report of DNA with the viral video which was published on 25 September 2017. According to this news, two people were arrested by the police in Rajasthan after the video of harassing and kidnapping mother-daughter came out.

According to the media report, a man named Ahmad Khan got his minor daughter married to a man named Shaukat. He wanted the girl to stay with him, however, the girl's mother, Nemat, refused to let the daughter go till she attained 18 years of age.  On September 11, Shaukat reached the girl's village along with a friend Iliaas and forcibly took the girl away. They also beat up the girl's mother. The police took cognizance of the matter when the video went viral. The two were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. 

The incident took place in Kalu Khan Ki Dhani village of Bap Tehsil in Jodhpur district on September 11 as informed by the investigating officer Bhanwarlal Vishnoi. 

We also found a video on Youtube channel name  Rajasthan Patrika published on 24 September 2017 with a caption JODHPUR: woman beaten up brutally while her daughter abducted in Jodhpur

In conclusion, the video of two women being brutally beaten is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The video is not related to Pakistan
