A similar post was shared on Facebook as well.

The truth behind the claim

In our investigation, we found out that the claim that Rahul Gandhi paid for Nirbhaya's brother aviation training fee is true. We found a report by NDTV published in 2017, in which Nirbhaya's father, Badrinath Singh told that Rahul Gandhi supported his son in becoming a pilot.

He said his son after completing his Class 12 got admitted to the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi, a government-funded autonomous institute in Rae Bareli.

A similar report was published in the Times of India. Nirbhaya's mother Asha Kumari told TOI that Rahul Gandhi paid for his son's course for pilot training in Rae Bareli.

The course fee for a commercial pilot license (CPL) at Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), which was opened by then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1985, is Rs 32 lakh. Rahul Gandhi is among the 11 members of the governing council of the IGRUA. All other members are from the Union civil aviation ministry.

According to Asha Kumari, Rahul Gandhi spent every bit of money on her son's education and his stay at Rae Bareli. Both Rahul and Priyanka regularly met and tracked his progress.

In conclusion, the claim that Rahul Gandhi paid for Nirbhaya's brother aviation training fee is true.
