On 9th November, that marks the day of the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor, a video has gone viral on social media with a claim that PM Narendra Modi arrogantly ignored the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh while he was welcoming the PM. 

A twitter user named Riaz Yusuf shared the video along with a caption, "This is so insulting ... How could @narendramodi Humiliate Chief Minister of Punjab @capt_amarinder such a way."

In this video, PM Modi can be seen coming out of his Aircraft, Captain Amrinder joins hands to welcome and greet him, but the gesture wasn't reciprocated by PM Modi, and he suddenly moves on and starts greeting other people. 

Truth Behind this video

PM Modi is well known for his humble attitude and behaviour, because of which this video appeared unrealistic to us. We started our investigation and found out that this is an edited video.

The actual video was recorded on 9th November 2019, before the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor when PM Modi reaches Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab. He can be seen coming out of his aircraft where he was received by Amarinder Singh while Badnore and Harsimrat Kaur were also present. In the actual video, PM Modi can be seen meeting and greeting Amrinder Singh, while exchanging some words. He also greets Harsimrat Kaur, later on.

PM Modi and Captain Amrinder Singh can be seen shaking hands in a picture published in an article by News18. Both can be seen wearing the same clothes as in the viral video. 

Therefore, we can conclude that the viral video is edited in a way to mislead people. In the actual video, PM Modi meets and greets Captain Amrinder Singh.
