Abhisar Sharma recently hosted a show for HW News in which he showed a photoshopped image of an Aaj Tak's promo on Chandrayaan-2. We had debunked the viral photoshopped picture on 9th Aug.

The video was deleted by Abhishar Sharma when several social media users pointed it out. However, the clip is still available.

Before Abhishar Sharma, the wire featured the same photoshopped picture on September 8th in an article titled "What Chandrayaan 2 Taught Us About India's Media Landscape Today". Here is the archived version of the article.

The viral headline was also re-iterated by senior journalist Urmilesh on his show for The Wire. You can watch the relevant section from 6:14 minutes onwards.

Photoshopped Picture

The actual picture was tweeted by Chitra Tripathi herself on July 22 on the eve of Chandrayan 2 launch. However, the message on the screengrab reads "Moon will be now in our hands" (translated from Hindi).
