The video shows Pro-Khalistan Sikh protestors being evicted from the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester during the first World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand.
In the backdrop of farmers' protest against the Centre’s new farm acts, an image is being widely shared on social media platforms in relation to the ongoing protest showing a woman in red jacket claiming that woman in the photograph is Rajkumari Bansal, a doctor from Jabalpur who was found to be living at the Hathras victim’s home in Uttar Pradesh and reportedly passing herself off as a family member.
Social media users are sharing the image alleging that Bansal attended the farmers' protest in the national capital.
A Twitter user named Kiran Jain shared the viral image with the caption in Hindi that can be roughly translated to, "Hathras bhabhi has also become a farmer today. Did you understand something or not?"
The picture was tweeted by Shefali Vaidya as well.
National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Santosh Rai also shared the image with a similar claim.
The claim is currently viral on Twitter and Facebook.
We also request several requests to check the veracity of the claim.
In our investigation, we found this claim to be false. The viral image dates back to February this year and is not not related to the ongoing farmers protest. The woman seen in the image is no Rajkumari Bansal.
In the viral image one can see people holding a green-yellow flag in their hands and on checking we found that these are the flags of Bharti Kisan Union (BKU).
We went through their Facebook page and we found the full and clearer image uploaded on the page on February 10, 2020.
In the full image one several shops in the background including Panache Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd, Peter England and Raymond.
Using these information, we could geolocate the area seen in the image to Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh.
According to a report by the Quint, Several Sikh farmers had gathered in Shaheen Bagh during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in February this year. They were mostly from the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan).
Boomlive reached out to Rajkumari Bansal who denied being present in the ongoing farmers' protest. Bansal told , "It is not me in the image. I have not gone out of Jabalpur lately."
We were not able to identify the woman in the viral photograph it is clear that the viral photograph was taken during the Shaheen Bagh protests in Delhi. And the woman seen in the image is not Dr. Rajkumari Bansal.
