The viral claim is false that ICMR in its guidelines specified the use of Ivermectin drugs for both preventions as well as treatment of COVID-19. However, the UP government advised its health officials to use Ivermectin in the treatment of COVID-19 and it's not an ICMR guideline.
Recently, a video clip of 'Dance India Dance' is being widely circulated on social media platforms showing a contestant threatening the judges for rejecting him. The vide is going viral with a claim that the contestant is the son of a BJP leader.
A Facebook user shared the 5-minutes-long video clip with a caption, "A BJP top leader's son auditioning for Dance India Dance (Noida edition) created a disgusting & shameless scene along with his father & other goons. Welcome to "REAL" India! Jai Ho."
Congress Member Nagma Morarji also shared the same video with the same caption.
(She has now deleted the Tweet)
The video is viral on Facebook with the same claim.
In the viral clip, the contestant can be seen threatening that his father is a builder in Noida and warns the judges of severe consequences if they do not select him. Later, as he was asked to leave the stage, the contestant, along with a man who claimed to be his father, created chaos on the stage.
In our investigation, we found this claim to be false. The viral video is of a prank pulled on the judges in an episode aired in 2015.
The viral video has been clipped from an episode Dance India Dance to remove the part where it is revealed that it is a prank and not a real incident.
We looked for the episodes of Dance India Dance season 5 in which Mudassar Khan, Punit Pathak, and Gaiti Siddiqui and found the video is from the first episode of season 5 which aired on June 27, 2015, when the show was holding auditions in Delhi.
Halfway through the episode, a contestant who performs badly is asked to stop midway and told that he has not been selected. This seems to anger the contestant who proceeds to threaten, argue, and even bribe the three judges. The full episode available on Zee5 shows the full sequence of events starting at the 40 minutes timestamp.
In conclusion, the cropped video clip from an episode of Dance India Dance that aired in 2015 as part of a prank pulled on one of the judges over not selecting a contestant is going viral with a false claim.
